Purchased and installed all software and hardware and provided technical support to all staff levels. Initiated and assembled a training program (including handouts and reference manuals) to familiarize students and employees with personal computers, applications, hard disk management, software, peripherals and standard documentation. Researched, purchased and setup a LAN/WAN network. Provided complete integration of all systems to provide users shared access to resources, and to facilitate virtual centralization of data. Included modifying local workstations to ensure adaptation to the network. Setup remote access to enable off site administration, as well as access to the network by various application, operating systems, and hardware peripherals. Implemented file and software security. Designed and implemented different front-end solutions for students to access and share the University of Maryland software library. Developed software package in C++ to maintain student data accounts using Informix/SQL and Ingres/SQL on a UNIX platform.
